Ron Paul is donating millions to fight kidney disease

Banker and developer Ron Paul is donating $2.5 million to George Washington University Hospital to help fund kidney research and awareness programs.

The donation comes as George Washington University highlights its kidney transplant program and center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 5. The hospital performed its first kidney transplant earlier this year.
